This is a rare ad, and one we're thrilled to have available!

It’s full-color and the perfect example of how Omega proudly announced to the public their role in space exploration — that NASA chose and astronauts wear their Speedmaster. It’s easy to imagine that this very ad prompted so many to purchase Speedmasters given the widespread interest in the space program in that day and age. 

Of course this ad predates Buzz, Neil and Michael’s fame, but it does feature the piece that would soon come to be known as The Moonwatch. And if the color nature of the ad, fantastic shot of likely a reference 105.012 and Ed White’s famous spacewalk cameo aren’t enough, then consider its historical significance. It’s an artifact that documents a partnership that undoubtedly helped make Omega what it has become. A connection and relationship that endures to this day, that still pulls people to the brand, like gravity…  

This exquisite piece was sourced and presented by our friends at Ad Patina and is custom framed in a 15” x 18 3/4” natural wood frame with an opaque black painted finish. It features a custom-measured, hand-cut 4-ply border in a shade of cream, complimenting all the ad tones. Every material used is acid-free and the glass is anti-reflective and offers UV-protection to keep this precious ad preserved no matter where you decide to hang it. Speaking of which, hanging your newly purchased ad is a seamless task, as this particular frame comes with an additional hanging wire and felt pads for wall protection.  

Like a perfect patina watch collectors ever-so desire, this Omega Speedmaster ad has its own patinated charm that transports the viewer to another time and place. It will certainly inspire you to keep learning about and collecting one of history's most significant wristwatches!

Most of our products are on hand and will ship directly from our headquarters in New York City. In some cases, watches will be shipped directly from one of our authorized partners.

We generally ship our products via FedEx, fully insured, within 5 business days of purchase. An adult signature is required for receipt of all packages for insurance purposes. Expedited shipping is available at an additional cost. We are also happy to hand deliver your purchase in Manhattan or you may pick it up at our showroom.

Returns must be sent overnight or by priority international delivery, fully insured and paid for by the customer. A restocking fee may apply. Watches must be returned in the same condition as initially shipped.
