Chopard Lapiz Lazuli Ring Watch

Case in point? This hand-wound ring watch from Chopard with a lapis lazuli dial. Housed in a 20mm 18K yellow gold ring case with a wide, lapis lazuli bezel and a signed “LUC” gold winding crown, it features a matching lapis dial with a dauphine handset. Dating to the 1990s, it’s powered by a hand-wound movement, giving it the feel of a mid-20th century piece designed in the tradition of the finest Swiss maisons.

Established in 1860 in Solvilier, Switzerland, Chopard has been making watches and jewelry for over 160 years, with clients that include Tsar Nicholas II of Russia. Known for its “Happy Diamond” watch in which diamonds appear to float on the dial, the brand boasts its own movement manufacture in Fleurier and a headquarters in Geneva.

If you’re interested in cars, you probably know Chopard for its longtime sponsorship of the famed Mille Miglia race, with which it has been associated since 1988. It’s also the official timekeeper of the Historic Grand Prix of Monaco, a title it has held since 2002.

Today, Chopard’s Alpine Eagle — based upon the St. Moritz watch from the 1980s — sits alongside the likes of the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and Patek Philippe Nautilus in the “luxury sports watch” category, proving that the maison is more than just a purveyor of fine jewelry, but also a first-class watchmaker.

Most of our products are on hand and will ship directly from our headquarters in New York City. In some cases, watches will be shipped directly from one of our authorized partners.

We generally ship our products via FedEx, fully insured, within 5 business days of purchase. An adult signature is required for receipt of all packages for insurance purposes. Expedited shipping is available at an additional cost. We are also happy to hand deliver your purchase in Manhattan or you may pick it up at our showroom.

Returns must be sent overnight or by priority international delivery, fully insured and paid for by the customer. A restocking fee may apply. Watches must be returned in the same condition as initially shipped.
