Why We Love It

If you've following Tudor for the past few years, you know that they've been making waves. But this isn't the first round for Tudor.

This Tudor Oysterdate harkens back to another time in which Tudor was giving the watch buying public an alternative. Its 34mm stainless steel case is the same as those used by Rolex, as evinced by the presence of a Rolex crown. Despite its elegant size the case feels stout and the glossy black dial provides contrast with its gold toned handset and applied logo.

Dating to the 1970s, this Oysterdate checks all the boxes. It's luminous patina gives the watch that classic vintage look, and the classic case design makes for an excellent choice as a daily wearer. Whether with jeans and a t-shirt or under the cuff, this Tudor will always be a solid choice.

The Story

Although it started as Rolex’s gateway brand, the quality of Tudor’s products were by no means inferior to Rolex’s. In fact, the use of many of the same parts as Rolex (including dials and the patented Oyster cases) ensured that the consumer was getting Rolex quality at a slightly lower price point.

It’s in vintage Tudor models like the Tudor Prince Oysterdate 34, particularly, that this is most apparent. From its inception, the Tudor Prince has been shrouded in a mantle of sheer uncompromising toughness. Early ad campaigns stressed the watch’s resilience, and its participation in the British North Greenland Expedition brought awareness of the brand to the world.

All of our watches include complementary insured shipping within the 50 states.

Most of our products are on hand and will ship directly from our headquarters in New York City. In some cases, watches will be shipped directly from one of our authorized partners.

We generally ship our products via FedEx, fully insured, within 5 business days of purchase. An adult signature is required for receipt of all packages for insurance purposes. Expedited shipping is available at an additional cost. We are also happy to hand deliver your purchase in Manhattan or you may pick it up at our showroom.

Returns must be sent overnight or by priority international delivery, fully insured and paid for by the customer. A restocking fee may apply. Watches must be returned in the same condition as initially shipped.
