Volvo Enamel Key Chain

We’ve said it time and time again — watches and cars belong together!

Much like in watches, where owning the watch isn’t enough, the likes of books, vintage ads and other ephemera related to that watch make their way into the collection, cars have the very same relationship with objects adjacent to their respective brand or the hobby in general.

This particular vintage find is for the Volvo owners in the house and represents the ever-evolving history of their logo design. To many, the signature Volvo logo is the brand’s namesake displayed within a banner and encircled with a protruding arrow, symbolizing a “shield and sword”. However in 1959, the brand decided to nix the circle and arrow, solely displaying “VOLVO” in bold lettering and all caps. To the surprise of many, the brand would change the logo back to its “shield and sword” design that very same year!

This vintage enamel Volvo keychain has that exact logo design with blue and gold accents, as well as the “shield and sword” adorned in white. It also comes fitted with several gold plated links that attach to a small gold plated carabiner with a twist-lock mechanism. With a profile measuring 1 1/2” x 1 1/2”, this enamel Volvo keychain will look the part on any key ring that belongs to a vintage Volvo, or modern.

This particular logo would hold strong until another design change ocurred in 1999 — that’s 40 years! It’s the classic logo that most associate with the automotive manufacture. A cool nod to Volvo, no doubt

Most of our products are on hand and will ship directly from our headquarters in New York City. In some cases, watches will be shipped directly from one of our authorized partners.

We generally ship our products via FedEx, fully insured, within 5 business days of purchase. An adult signature is required for receipt of all packages for insurance purposes. Expedited shipping is available at an additional cost. We are also happy to hand deliver your purchase in Manhattan or you may pick it up at our showroom.

Returns must be sent overnight or by priority international delivery, fully insured and paid for by the customer. A restocking fee may apply. Watches must be returned in the same condition as initially shipped.
